In the village, you will find a food supermarket, a Post Office, a Gas station and an hotel with both a cafe and a restaurant (opening hours, etc., for some of these are given below). There is also a small kiosk which keeps rather longer hours; it's about 100m past the hotel on the right-hand side next to the caravan business.

From Fargernes, you can also catch the bus into Tromsø, or in the opposite direction to Narvik (and thus to Kiruna)
