Dear Colleagues,
Very few abstracts have been submitted to the ISR and related radio
methods session at the European Geophysical Union General Assembly in
Vienna, on 03 – 08 April 2011.
Please consider submitting an abstract using the opportunity of the
deadline being extended by one day to 11 Jan 2011, 24:00 GMT.

ST3.4
Advance in ionospheric research by incoherent scatter radars, related
radio methods and novel large observational systems
Convener: Esa Turunen
Co-Conveners: Yasunobu Ogawa, Ingemar Häggström
A new dimension of access to ionospheric parameter estimation is
emerging with the appearance of the new phased-array incoherent
scatter radars, application of interferometric techniques in radio
regime, sophisticated ionospheric modification experiments and build-
up of large observational systems which provide real-time and unified
data access utilizing an extensive set of various sensors.
This session welcomes papers on both local and large-scale processes
in the ionosphere, magnetosphere-ionosphere-neutral atmosphere
coupling, as well latitudinal couplings, advance in experimental and
data analysis techniques, coordinated studies with multiple incoherent
scatter radars, possibly also supporting space missions, progress on
planning and prototyping new facilities such as EISCAT-3D, and
observational systems, such as EURIPOS. Contributions concerning
techniques and systems in more application-oriented, service-type
investigations, in support of radio systems and studies of space
weather effects, are also welcome.

Dear Sir or Madam,
Dear Colleagues,
Due to extensive requests from authors and conveners who are just
returning today from holidays, we have extended by ONE DAY the
ABSTRACT DEADLINE for submission of abstracts to the European
Geosciences Union General Assembly 2011 (EGU2011).
The extended deadline for the EGU2011 is Tuesday, 11 January 2011
(24:00, GMT).
The EGU2011 will be held in Vienna, Austria, from 03-08 April 2011 and
has over 720 unique Sessions in 28 Programme Groups, covering broadly
all aspects of the geosciences, planetary and space sciences.
Within each programme group, you will find the name of each session,
description, as well as conveners at:http://meetingorganizer.copernicus.org/EGU2011/sessionprogramme
.
